We received from the factory the brand new Rage last December,since then MBE 9A4 engine management has been fitted and the results are better than we could ever have hoped for.

Andy Rose fitted the new CAN bus wiring loom to the car back at the factory but we received the car as a non runner.

We set about programming the new Ecu but with no previous data every thing was to work out, from the trigger offset to coil dwell time.

After a lot of work and with direct support on this project from Steve Broughton at www.sbdmotorsport.co.uk we were in a position to get the car on the dynamometer.

After getting all the base fuel and ignition settings right and confident about the how the car was running we good do some full power runs.

Now bearing in mind on the Dynojet dyno the stock Rage ZX 14 R puts down on average of 155 bhp and 90 lbft of torque at the wheels it was going to be interesting to see the end results.

170 BHP and 104 lbft of torque

This is from the identical set up but with just the ECU fitted and mapped ,no restrictions, speed limiters,clutch switch or any of the other systems the stock Ecu has .

The new set up also lends itself to many more upgrades flat shifting,traction control , launch control and the full control of a force induction engine.

Last week we were delighted to continue our working  relationship with Rage Motorsport .   Guy brought there latest car up from the factory to have it`s first run on the dyno.

The awesome Rage buggy performed exceptionally well with it`s current engine spec . This particular buggy has been built with bigger and better things in mind though ,  the engine has been specially built  with the target been  300 bhp plus at the wheels !!!!!!.

As soon as the final pieces of the kit are finished Rage will be back testing on the dyno when we will be able to  release some exciting results.

 Daytuner Performance are very pleased to have been chosen by Ginetta sports cars to carry out the engine mapping on their very latest sports car  the superb G40 .This Lotus  Elise beating car which has been proving itself on the race track over the past years has now been introduced to the road / track day driver. Here at Daytuner performance we were asked by Ginetta  set up the MBE ECU`s  engine mapping to suit the extra requirements of the road car .After extensive dyno testing of exhaust and inlet systems we have achevied the goal of a car which retains the performance of the race car while at the same time meets the current emmision and noise requirments for the road.

With a view to offering the best service possible we have invested in an ASNU fuel injection tester.In days gone by one of the most common areas to check on your performance vehicle was the carburetors,but since the introduction of fuel injection the delivery of the fuel gets over looked .Yet the injector is paramount in the search for performance.

• Do all your injectors flow the same ?
• Do all your injectors have a good flow pattern?
• At what fuel pressure do they best perform?
• Are your injectors up to the job ?
